About the DAIR essay retroactive continuity...
I just don’t get why some say it’s a slap to Season 1 Dan and Serena. The writers had cleared it up. He did it not because he LIKED Blair, but because he knows there was something inside B Waldorf, and because she was Serena’s best friend. Gerrit? Gerrit? Stop saying it’s bullshit because it’s not.

I understand why if you were Chuck or someone who deliberately ignored every dair interaction over the past year, why you’d be under the allusion that Blair gaining some perspective on Dan and reciprocating that kiss would be OOC. That I’d completely understand. But I find it almost incredible…
